Reclamation and Remediation The process of rehabilitating existing pavement is called pavement reclamation. The existing paving and paving sub-grade are pulverized and blended with chemical additives to create a homogenous pavement base. This reclaimed pavement is then paved with a new surface. |

| Pavement reclamation replaces the old method of pavement destruction, removal and replacement with new materials. This saves labor, equipment, fuel and perhaps most importantly, saves natural resources by reusing the existing pavement. |
